Our history

Over 50 years of experience

The Lotrans Group was founded in the 1970s with a clear mission: to become a global transport and logistics company that guarantees an integrated service for our clients.

With the incorporation of the second generation, new frontiers and new challenges opened up in the logistics sector, and the fleet and services were extended.

The 1990s saw the start of a new phase, with the internationalisation of the company and specialisation in 3PL and outsourcing services.

With the aim of meeting new logistics challenges, in 2009 it extended its facilities, building an RDI department, multi-purpose training rooms and a quality, big data and process improvement department.

In 2012 our fleet grew to over 200 vehicles with the aim of continuing improving the transport services offered to our clients.

In 2017, due to the demand from our clients, we continued to grow with a further extension to our logistics facilities in Sant Boi. Providing over 30,000 m2 of warehouse space in the Barcelona metropolitan area.

In 2019 we opened a 10,000 mwarehouse in the Tarragona area with the aim of providing greater coverage for our clients.

In 2022 we opened our new offices.

Social and cultural commitment

At Lotrans we place great importance on giving back and contributing to society, both in actions for the least well-off and in cultural and sports events. This is why we have been working with the food bank project for over three years, contributing 35 thousand euros a year in Sant Boi de Llobregat.

We also collaborate with Hospital Sant Joan de Déu both financially and in providing services, we speak in eco-transport conferences to work towards a cleaner, less polluted society and we sponsor a number of sporting events, always associated with nature and mountains.

As well as in-service training for our workers, we participate in training projects in secondary schools, and for intermediate and advanced-level vocational training qualifications.
